Terra Large 50L Duffel Backpack in Canyon

We moved to Japan over the summer and I wanted a versatile bag that was big enough for travel yet still be able to fit in overhead storage as a carry on for long or short trips. This bag not only handled the flight like a boss but it also was the perfect size carryon for our Shinkansen ride from Tokyo to our final destination. We are currently living in a hotel until our home is ready and I have been using it to haul our laundry to the coin laundry down the road. Rain or shine it’s proven to be a faithful companion that I can fit 3 generous loads of laundry in when expanded (we are a family of 4). Love the bag, love the color, love the durability.

The Terra Large 50L Duffel Backpack in White Sands is a great LARGE duffle bag! I was looking for a duffle bag that would hold a ton of my clothes when I travel weekly from NYC to upstate New York. This duffle does hold a mountain of clothes…which also means it can be very heavy when it’s at capacity, especially when you pack it full of jeans and sweaters. Because of weight when packed, I love that the duffle has a trolley sleeve so I have the option to throw the duffle on top of a roller bag if I need to travel by train or by plane where I would struggle to carry it on my own. (Calpak, how great would it be to have this exact bag with 2 wheels!? I would buy every color!) The bag is simple on the inside with a speckled light matching cream interior (LOVE lighter interiors!) and 3 mesh zipper pocket-one one the lid and 2 along the sides. I love the extra outside organization pockets and the slick material. I always keep it expanded because I need the extra room-perfect when you need to overpack. This will also be a great bag to haul family gear on ski and scuba trips. My one complaint is that when the bag is converted to a backpack, the outside facing side is the bottom of the bag. The main opening to the duffle is against your back, which could be great for security, but the bag looks slightly odd as a backpack. I love this duffle so much I had to get a 2nd one in White Sand. There is no concern for it being a lighter colored fabric either because you can easily wipe it with a damp cloth. I purchased this second one because it goes with everything as a neutral color and it just looks so clean and refreshing. When I find something I like I HAVE to get it in multiple colors. My favorite part of this is multiple functionality going from backpack, duffle or handle straps. Fits clothes for a week or more with the extra 2in expansion, lots of extra room to bring things back from a trip, plus extra internal pockets for the small things you don’t want to get lost. Plus the conversion from backpack, to duffle to handle straps is a breeze! And the trolly sleeve is a added bonus.
